Rick Springfield was just happy to be home in time to rock out tonight.
The Jessie's Girl singer was arrested at his L.A.-area home this morning on a bench warrant issued Wednesday after he missed a court date pertaining to a past DUI bust. But it turned out help was just a phone call away.
The L.A. County Sheriffs Department confirmed to E! News that Springfield called his wife, she brought the requisite paperwork to the station to clear up the pressing issue and he ultimately was not booked on any charge.

So did he make his 1 allowed phone call to 867-5309?
Wrong singer ;-)
That was Tommy Tutone
I wonder if he will get “the Human Touch” in the slammer.
I guess he didn’t need Jesse’s girl afterall?
Paging Dr. Noah Drake....we could keep this up for a while :-)
This guy could have stayed with the family’s legendary rifle business, but instead decided to rock off on his own. Good for him. His mother, Dusty, was one great singer, too.
Hmm. Never heard of Springthorpe rifles, nor a singer called Dusty Springthorpe . . .
(Dusty Springfield was a lesbian, BTW. And her real name wasn’t Springfield either.)
Springfield’s cellmate was named “Jessie.”
And Rick thus became Jessie’s girl.
Rick should have told the judge: “I’ve done everything for you. You’ve done nothing for me.”
And paging Eli Love. Rock on!
Did ‘Jesse’s Girl’ bail him out?
Maybe he didn’t show because they called him Bruce.
My wife says he used to be a Doctor ...
apparently Rock Star pays better than Obamacare.
"867-5309/Jenny" was a Top 40 hit for Tommy Tutone, a power pop band (not a person) out of California. The song was also covered by the Foo Fighters and the Goo Goo Dolls.
Rick Springfield is the singer of several pop hits from the 1980s and was also some sort of "soap opera" TV star.
It is a bit disconcerting that he had a DUI as that does not appear to fit his public image of a singer of lightweight, hook-laden pop-rock tunes. I do not want him to stop drinking but I would like him to hire a limo driver.
The original ‘Human Target’...(obscure TV reference)
