“No wonder donations are down.”

Donations are down because everybody is flat busted by the wrecked economy.

If people are faced with ‘buy food’ or ‘donate to FR’, which do you think most will choose?

Occam’s chainsaw cuts through ludicrous hyperbole.

This is no better and no worse than the many prayer/recipe/your favorite song/help with my PC vanities posted every day of every year.

You are either a troll or desperate for attention.

FR has enough trouble raising funds without you clogging up the place with worthless posts.

And you're a dipwit! You got a problem with the thread then hit your abuse button and let the mods sort it out.

I suspect you already have and the mods have spoken......

Now get lost and vent your inner frustrations on some other thread..........

FWIW, it's idiots like you who have driven away many of the old time contributors.......

When one is dealing with grief, all things are normal, I got ticked off at my husband a few times after he passed. We were putting up hay in the barn with friends and he said he just wanted a break, sat down next to his truck, we finished loading the hay off the wagon into the barn, went to see him if he was feeling better, and being a nurse I could tell by his color he was dead, also being a nurse I did CPR on him until the ambulance came, I was yelling at him all the while doing CPR....for me that was normal, maybe not for someone else....Bless you and yours...

PS its been over 20 years and sometimes I still get mad at him......he was only 51. first and only heart attack....so its enjoy each day, you may not have a tomorrow.

I’m kinda mad, too.

But mostly sad.

Last thing he said to me was “Bet on it!” when I told him he had to stick around because who else would aggravate me like he did.

Do keep “vanity” posts to a minimum - Free Republic is primarily a place to discuss news, articles, and editorials.

Hey sweetheart, look up in the right hand corner of this thread. Up there you will see a category titled "General/Chat"

What do you suppose that means?

“FWIW, it’s idiots like you who have driven away many of the old time contributors....... “

And there’s the bitter truth of it.

Lots of my ‘old buddies’ are gone from FR now because of control freaks like this one.

Perhaps we should blame Donna for the lack of donations.

What I'm thinking of happened in Michigan, not Texas, but there's a bell ringing here...rintense, didn't you post something on fb a month or so ago about an extremely shady breeder in the Grand Rapids area? I recall that she had been involved with multiple breeds and that folks were being warned about her for some reason or other...the rest is a blank. What was that about?

This thread is more timely and interesting than half the crap that gets posted on this forum lately. Do you police all the threads or just singled this one out? It doesn’t seem as if the mods have a problem with it. There’s a “General Interest/Chat” subforum for a reason, you know. Dogs are about as general an interest as one is likely to find.

Here is an article about dog theft from last Sept:

Local woman arrested in pet scam

Posted: Saturday, September 15, 2012 2:00 am

*snip*

That name, however, turned out to be fake. Smith alleges it was an alias used by 24-year-old Jennifer Ann Herbers of Wharton.

“If you go online and do Internet research on either name, you get multiple complaints of these same issues,” Smith alleged.

On Sept. 6, police executed a search warrant at Herbers’s rural Wharton home. “She had a stack of paperwork along with sales receipts from hundreds of people she had sold animals to,” Smith said.

He began calling some of the buyers and allegedly discovered other similar rip-offs.

“I’m just scratching the surface,” Smith said.

Herbers was booked into Wharton County Jail on Sept. 6, charged with state jail felony theft. She was further charged with 10 counts of animal cruelty.

“We also discovered multiple animals that were being kept in really bad environments,” Smith alleged. “They were obviously being mistreated.”

Herbers was later released after posting $30,000 bond.

Hard to tell if she was prosecuted or not or where she went after posting bond.

Uh...that’s not how hunting is normally done.

Is your son okay?

Our friend bagged a buck on his Dresser.

[how the buck got on his Dresser, we’ll never know]

:)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. God bless.

Since we are talking about dogs and breeding and "what not", has anyone had a Chinese Crested or knows someone who has?

I think they are AKC approval.

I'm curious about their origin and temperaments.

free kitty, good luck in your search.
