At least 51 people have died after drinking tainted homemade alcohol in Tripoli, Libyan health officials say.
They say 378 have been taken to the capital's hospitals since Saturday, and the number may rise further.
A hospital official told the BBC the deaths occurred from methanol poisoning and that many patients were undergoing kidney dialysis for treatment.

Interior ministry official Hussein al-Amry told the BBC that special units had surrounded locations where the homemade alcohol was thought to have been brewed.
He added that the ministry was prepared to use force if the owners did not comply with an order to vacate the premises.

We had a similar issue a couple of months ago here in the Czech Republic. Some folks thought it’d be a nifty idea to make some homemad hooch with methanol. That was one part of the problem.
The other part of it was when methanol started turning up in factory-produced spirits. Turned it the methanol came from Poland, and some of the liquor producers were using methanol to cut production costs.
The result.....about 30 dead, lots of kidney failures, a few medically-induced comas, and no booze on the store shelves for about three weeks.
I don't think they'll have that problem in Tripoli.

I sure hope Hillary is proud of herself for being the root cause of this genocide.
I don't know that I can see the honorable Mrs. Clinton making and distributing hooch in a Muslim country, but in a weird way a picture of her hefting a mason jar of white lightning wouldn't surprise me at all.
