Floridas charter school students continue to outperform traditional public school students, according to a report from the Florida Department of Education.
The report shows students who attend charter schools exceed their traditional public school counterparts in math, science, and reading on state assessments. And who is REALLY surprised at this?
Our nation’s public education system has been dumbed down for decades and we think a great product will be produced?
It is also time for a clean sweep of the ones who teach the teachers.
Nikita Kruchev said, “Russia does not have to destroy America with missles; America will destroy from within.”....
He was pretty close in that statement, we’re just not quite there yet.
What irks me is referring to the educational establishments we have today as traditional. This mess has only been around since the sixties and almost any other option will outperform it.
No doubt the FEA’s primary recommendations about this report are to:
1. Redefine the metrics by which performance is measured to favor public schools.
2. Close down charter schools.
(And the anti-education attitude that exists in urban culture, along with the abdication of parental responsibilities in education within the vast majority of families, also need to see major changes before we can see the kind of success that we all hope for out of public education.)
