Moonshiners TV star Steven Ray Tickle has been arrested for public intoxication while allegedly needing to be carried away to a city jail.
The 35-year-old known by just his surname of Tickle was arrested last week after a citizen complained of a man seen sitting in a parking lot drinking from an open container.
Police reporting to Charley's Stop and Shop in Danville, Virginia on Thursday afternoon say they found Tickle drinking alone in a parked car while also smelling of alcohol.

Ole Tickle been known to partake.
Bein’ drunk in public ain’t ee-legal ‘less you git caught...
If you are going to get caught drinking, at least get caught drinking your own moonshine, not a packaged beer. Bad PR.
Heck, he ALWAYS has one in his hand on the show.
Tickle’s take on blizzards.
No that would be another charge added....
Good that the cops showed up. That could have ended badly for some innocent people had Tickle decided to start that car.
can't anybody mind their f****ing business anymore. Not DUI just sittin' and relaxin after a hard day i guess.
next thing you know Top Gear guys will be getting speeding tickets.
Love it. I am 50 miles from all these guys. I have members of my family in the past that can tell stories of moonshining.
Funny thing is... they use subtitles. Heck, I can understand every word they say just fine.
Loved the show. He seemed the smartest one on the show. When he had to “distibute” some moonshine he filled up the RV water tank and then filled everyone’s container from the faucet. Pretty slick.
I can, too. Even Jim Tom. LOL!
I seen where he was drunk and fell off the roof and broke his ribs. He was later at home drowning his pain with liquor.
He held up the jar and said “the cause and the remedy are one in the same”.
The key, I think, is where Tickle was sitting. He was sitting in a car. Heck, if I saw a person sitting in a car drinking, I'd call the cops.
On the other hand, if he was sitting on a park bench drinking, I'd just nod and wish him a good day as I walked by.
The article said they carried him in the jail “after he could not find a ride home”. That sounds to me like they tried to let him go home.
Not a bad shot, but he definitely looks hammered.
In some parts of the South, IIRC, “carry” is used to indicate giving someone a ride, e.g., “Can you carry me to church next Sunday?”
Yes. I encountered that usage when I lived in Georgia for a short time. It's not commonly used in my native upper east Tennessee.
Thats really not bad at all.
Usually in the drunk tank they make you sit or lay in a cell until you are sobber enough to at least know you are getting booked.
(ahem, thats what I hear, ahem)
So he probably had been sleeping for a while after being falling-down-drunk and abruptly awakened. That sucks sucks sucks.
“Being drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son”
When doesn't he look hammered.
An acquaintance was arrested for being drunk in public and also not having enough money to pay his taxi driver. I snagged his photo off the internet - Johnson County Kansas posts every single mug-shot online...and they make the inmates where a gray cloth for the photo, so its just their face and no clothing, logos, etc.
I sent the photo to the guy - he replied back ‘What is that gray thing I’m wearing’. He had no memory of even being photographed.
>>Funny thing is... they use subtitles. Heck, I can understand every word they say just fine<<
Fanny thang are dey gots them sub-titillies. Golly (replace accordingly) I’kn unrstan evy wrd dey tay fahn....

He’s on TV and this event will probably up his annual stipend. I am thinking drunk and stupid ain’t all that bad...
Tickle should never leave private property! ...ever!
They had some falling out?
Wuz soo appy I wuz pickled tink!
Ole Tickle’s done his part for the series’ unit publicist this week. It was no doubt a ploy to get the show some free ink and air time and keep it “on theme” and “authentic.” All Tickle’s “expenses” will be paid by the producers of course.
“Mr White you are being charge with Drunk In Public.”
“Hey I was in a bar, they threw me into Public.”
According to interviews, JimTom likes to run his mouth too much.
And the golden rule for anyone doing any type of questionable activity is KEEP YOU MOUTH SHUT.
Hey look at the Jersey Shores and the Snookis and the like. Their bank accounts are pretty deep right now from being drunk and stupid.
But I give them credit.
Wise folks always say, “Find what you’re best at and make good with what God gave you”.
They are not good at anything except being drunk and stupid and made millions doing it. Good job.
They did have a falling out, but I don’t think exactly what happened is clear. It was brought up on the roundtable episode they had a few weeks back. Mark and Jeff just said they weren’t happy with Jim Tom and they probably wouldn’t be working with him again.
>>They are not good at anything except being drunk and stupid and made millions doing it. Good job.<<
After the week I have had, I may join them. And won’t even ask for the millions!
I saw that and said, Hummmm wonder what happened?
And then I thouht to myself, Mark did get pulled over! Jim Tom was a talker, maybe talked too much about show?
