Salvation dependent on works: Catholics do not believe this, however, they do accept James 2:14-26 in believing that faith without works is suspect. Anyone can proclaim they have faith. Anyone. But faith without works is indeed dead. To say that you have faith in Christ and that it has not changed your commitment to charity is suspect, is it not?
Man-made traditions: so, should we just abandon Christmas (Christ-mass), Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween (all Hallo’s Eve)? Traditions have been a part of Christianity since the 1st Century. The Catholic mass is much the same as it was during Justin Martyr’s time, that is, 100-165 AD.
