I get it, but it still seems a little harsh.

Banned for life?
Their extreme over-reaction shows something about the fears of their elites.

It takes a special kind of stupid to admire Nazis.
Especially in a place like Greece where the Nazis murderd thousands of innocent people.

Banned for life? Only from playing for the Greek national team. Don't know the player, but chances are he wouldn't have been a consideration anyway.

Seems pretty harsh to me too since it lasted all of about 1 second, and then he got swamped by his team.

Good to see a national socialist get p@wned. It hasn’t happened nearly enough of late. These lefty totalitarians deserve any beating they get 10 times over and more.

If you wanted to turn the guy into a full-fledged radical Nazi, this is the way to do it.

Seeing as how Germany are the ones that are responsible for a Greece’s problems, at least in the opinion of many Greeks, perhaps it was more of a message to Germany about how Greeks feel about them, rather than his admiration for the Nazis.

You gotta look at it in the context of Golden Dawn, the up-and-coming Greek fascist party.

I don’t know for sure, but I suspect the poor guy has no idea what a Nazi salute was. Seems as a bit of an overreaction to me. JMHO.

I suspect the poor guy has no idea what a Nazi salute was. That's what I wondered. Was he just extending his arm and saying YEA?

So can people who eat cows and pigs (without any sanction at all).

Here is the video. I would say probably not, but have a look for yourself. The punishment does seem a bit extreme, however.
