No nuke has hit Detroit, and it looks like rubble. No nuke is needed to make this seem true. It can occur simply by neglect.

And what could make it “unlivable”

Earthquakes in Syria

Definitely!!!!

That’s something else to keep in mind.

But to me.. something about the word “unlivable” screams Nuclear Bombs.

Why? Because even after earthquakes in, for instance, Haiti, people were still living there.

An earlier reference to Detroit being rubble. But people are still living there.

But.. either chemical or nuclear weapons could make Syria unlivable.. meaning people could not live there.

that is true. I am not denying the possibility that biblical prophecy (specifically that of Isaiah) can be fulfilled through the Syrian civil war.

not particularly sure in regards to Isaiah prophecy, but i know that we are getting very close to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 39 (war of Gog and Magog) and we are certainly nearing the beginning of the tribulation.

as a young adult, i share your sadness. It is truly disgraceful to see how the youth (and sadly even myself, to a lesser extent) have been corrupted by this culture. I will pray and i will fight. I refuse to let my country go without a fight.

My old man was glum and waiting for the second-coming too. Back in the Carter years. Just like back then, there is hope today as well. My kid’s (and sometimes myself) go to the annual Creation Festival - music for the under-thirty crowed mainly.

It is really something watching thousands of kids excited about God. And it was odd for me to hear some Christian Rap singer get done with his terrible song (to me!) and then talk so Biblicly about Jesus.

I think that there is a strong faith movement growing in our youth. But I know my kids have it tough, when in school they talk about faith or conservative issues and they are outnumbered with perhaps one or two of their classmates nodding in quiet approval.

More on Creation Festival:

Creation Festival (officially “Creation Festivals”) consists of two annual, four-day Christian music festivals held in the United States called Creation Northeast and Creation Northwest.[1] According to its organizers, the festivals have become the “Nation’s Largest Christian Music Festival.” [2] Average attendance is between 50,0000 and 100,000 annually.[3]

Both four-day festivals host more than sixty Christian rock, contemporary, and worship bands. Also featured are Christian speakers and authors, a fringe stage (hosting mostly up-and-coming and/or harder Christian rock bands), children’s stage (kids entertainers geared towards smaller children), Late Nite Cafe, camping, petting zoo, baptisms, communion, fireworks, extreme sports, volleyball, giveaways, candlelight service, prayer tent, youth pastor VIP tent, and other experience-based activities.
