Chihuahua lures pit bull attacking Chilliwack girl

A four-year-old Chihuahua came to the rescue of an eight-year-old Chilliwack girl after a neighbour's pit bull attacked her and began biting her face.

Jenna Desrochers was outside in a backyard last Tuesday at around 5 p.m. PT when the neighbour's pit bull broke free from its enclosure and went after her.

Soon after, her grandmother's Chihuahua came to the rescue.

Anne Marie Desrochers, Jenna's grandmother, says the pit bull knocked Jenna down and began biting her face. Honey, a four-year-old Chihuahua, then came to the rescue by drawing the attacking dog away.

"The pit bull took Jenna down at the knees, that's what the owner had told me, and basically went for her face."

"Then, the Chihuahua was around...The pit bull ran for the Chihuaua. She was distracted enough," Desrochers said.

Because one child was left to the dogs by her parents, you blame the dogs and want to wipe out the breed? No.

You are not making sense. You say that only biting pits should be put down, but then you say you want to exterminate the breed, whether the dogs are deadly or not.

Beleive it or not, PitBulls used to be human friendly good dogs, unless you were another dog.

They still are. I have seen this same organized bullcrap against German Shepherds, Dobermans, and Rotweillers prior to Pit Bulls.

Sadly, these days with all the scum inbreeding Pits, there are quite a few that are now dangerous.

Bad as dog fighting was back in the day, before scum and holder’s people gangers started collecting and breeding them, those that fought them at least had to good sense to put down Pits that “put a tooth” on a human and did a pretty good job of filtering out that bad trait.

When I was 10 years old, my uncle started molesting me.

My parents knew and did *nothing*.

No one would protect me from him so he continued molesting me with a will.

When I was 14, God -literally- answered my prayers and an old stray Dobermann showed up in my yard and made it abundantly clear that he was my dog, despite my dad’s protests about him being an untrustworthy ‘killer Doverman”. [sic]

That mushy, loved-everybody, old beat up but “scary” dog shadowed me everywhere I went and “suddenly”, the uncle lost interest.

If every kid had a Dobe or a Pit [or whatever breeds sounds “fashionably scary this year”] I wonder how much pedophilia there’d be left in the world?

FWIW, during the short span of time that I did not have any Dobes in the house, my ex beat me brutally and regularly, knowing there was no one to whom I could turn since my folks would have done nothing about that, either.

I don’t have a lot of human friends.
The ones I do have possess the qualities of dogs; devotion, loyalty and the willingness to defend me no matter what.

Some of them are here on this thread...and they know they have my unswerving loyalty and devotion until the day I die.

Actually, if you knew anything about dogs, mixed breed “Pits” are less “predictable” than full blood “Pits”.

Every full blood dog breed is quite predictable in its temperament.
That’s why breeders spend decades/centuries/millennia ‘setting type’.

When you start ‘mixing up’ different breed temperaments you lose quite a bit of the ability to predict an established/typical reaction in a dog.

Personally, I’d be much more concerned about a Border Collie/Cocker mix near my kid’s face than a Pit mix.

So, to use the term “real Pit” is counter productive.

A “real Pit” would be even more ‘predictable’.
