"It feels and handles like a Cadillac in your hand."

At the very least. I don't think it's possible to describe how silky smooth their actions were to someone who never handled one.

As much as I enjoy the show, I could never understand why no one would don body armor. If you’re out of ammo they can’t bite thruogh it.

They use clubs, swords and knives because they are short on ammo. Evidently Obama got his way before the Apocalypse hit town.

The articles is a mess. It jumps all over the place.

The title says its all about “gun control”...but the article does not make it clear that WD depicts that as a good thing or a bad thing.

I think the purpose of the article is to allow author Alan Yuhas to meet a deadline, even though he stayed up to watch television.

PS; There’s a lesson there and it’s 180 degrees out from Governor Malloy’s statement that a thousand rounds is outrageous to keep in the home.

I never got that. If you get bit or eaten by a zombie you turn into one.* If you get zombie blood and guts on your open wounds wouldn't that also turn you into one? So wouldn't you be careful about all the splatter?

* I know they changed that, but for simplicity's sake, that's how I think of it.

“The Walking Dead” is a metaphor for Ubama’s economy.

In the show, everyone is infected with the “zombie virus” and will turn into a zombie automatically upon death, regardless of cause.

Best I can tell you become a zombie when you die. The walker virus is not transmittable by a bite, it is simply inherent to every living human being with air being the vector. The damage from Zombie bites is that they haven’t seen Crest or Ivory Soap in a long time making the bacteria in their mouths virulent. Hence, amputate or die and when you die you Zombie up. At least that is my understanding from watching the show. :-}

And I do like the show. My wife wonders why a good conservative Catholic like myself only watches two shows, Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy neither of which she deems has any social redeeming quality. I agree with that and love my wife but I like those shows. And I don’t try to figure out why.

Still plenty available on the second-hand market, many of them in mint condition with box and papers as they came from the factory.

Of course, nowadays you’ll pay a good deal more than $150.00 bucks for ‘em.

About the Colt Python:
Do you know if the name “Python” is on the gun somewhere?

My husband had a Colt revolver when I married him and I don't know how long he had it but I think a long time. The last time I shot it was in 1990 at a range with 38 cartridges in it. After that it was loaded by a friend with buckshot for the first shot and hollow points after that and has stayed in the drawer of my bed side table.

About two months ago, I removed it from the drawer and it's on top of my bed side table for quick access, however, I was shocked how my memory of this gun was wrong when I took it out of the drawer. It is very heavy, no one is going to use this as a carry gun unless it's in a holster around the hip due to the weight, and I just now measured the barrel and measured from the tip of the barrel back to the end of the cylinder and it's four inches. If I stop before I get to the cylinder, it's a little over three inches. This looks like a heavy duty, I will kill you shoot out, western type gun.

There are numbers on the barrel that I can't make out and can't tell if something is spelled out on there but I think it's just numbers but there is a lot of them, so there could be more than numbers.

The grip is in good condition, a tanish/brown color but looks really old. My husband was an ex marine and a true sharp shooter and he would hit anything he aimed at and he definitely knew guns. I also have a revolutionary war or civil war long rifle that uses cap and ball, it's a Springfield in perfect condition. You see what I mean about his knowing guns.

I wonder if this Colt is a Python? There is a large shooting range with store here and I would bet there is a gunsmith there. I need to take this Colt there and have it cleaned and new ammo put in it and find out what the gun actually is. It is just too heavy for a today's carry gun.

I have a new Ruger 38 special revolver, barely has a barrel and it's like a feather compared to this Colt which is why I bought the Ruger and to have one downstairs.

Having seen the pictures of the Python, I don't know what kind of Colt I have.

Glenn and Maggie FINALLY did in last night’s finale, although I think it was the prison guards’ riot gear. I have been thinking the same thing.

they are trying to conserve ammo... in case you know the ammo supply starts drying up due to some Evil government trying to buy up all the production.....oh wait!

I met someone at a trade show in January who was embarrassed to admit living down the road from where Waking Dead is filmed. I told her I see it as an allegory about the collapse of the urban welfare state, which seemed to brighten her spirits a bit. Next thing she’s talking about getting her concealed carry permit, not that it would be a concern if conditions deteriorated to that extent.

Fact is right now most murders in the US are not by guns.

Well, no. About 2/3 of US murders are with guns.
