In the digital age, settling your estate is not the only thing many need to think about.
A new Google tool gives users the power to decide what happens to their digital assets, including email, photos and data, should they pass away.
The Inactive Account Manager allows users to enable Google to delete their data or pass the info along to a trusted loved one after a certain period of inactivity - three, six, nine or 12 months. The company will email and text users before deleting the data in case the person is, in fact, still alive......

Under no circumstances would I choose Google to be the executor of anything I value.
“Google wants to help”

Semper Suspicious!

We are saved from hell by faith in Christ, or damned to hell in our sins because we rejected Him - period.
According to Matthew 7:13, the evidence is overwhelming that the great majority of human beings go to hell.
I don’t know how they spell cemetery at that fancy school you went to, but where I went, it was all “e”s.
I thought I was calm. Line goes back to some guy talking about his experience as a cub reported assigned to the obituary beat right out of an expensive journalism school. He was talking about how hard it was to get everything right on the first go around, and the need for reporters to be scrupulous about facts. As a policy, the newspaper did not print corrections to obituaries, which were generally taken over the phone. Anyway, after graduating with his fancy journalism degree, he turned in his first assignment and the editor, an old school veteran reporter, boomed across the newsroom, “I don’t know how they spell cemetery at that fancy school you went to, but here, it’s all “e”’s.”
Personally, I want the Clyde Tombaugh treatment. http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/spacecraft-heads-for-pluto-taking-along-its-discoverers-ashes/2006/01/20/1137734151680.html
I would think that an astronomer of Mr. Tombaugh’s long experience and stature would not need an internship.

I guess when your mission is Muslim outreach, little details, you can’t let little things like the English language get in the way.
How does it know when you “pass away?”
Do you have to log in and tell it?
Ridiculous.
Everything digital can be copied. If you have something important you give a copy to family, or give them the passwords and login info so they can get it.
I am ‘old school’.
I paid off my AmEx card in 1988, and have not had a need for any of that credit card headache, since.
I keep paper records, my ‘books’ are in pen and ink, and do NOT ‘go paperless’, when any financial institution begs it of me, or when my light company, cable company, phone company does likewise.
I pay my rent by check, and I use NO ‘automatic payment system’.
I do NOT have any use, or need, for any galactic bitbucket photo service, or ‘to save my hard drive data at ‘x’ per month’ service (what happens when your automatic payment glitches?).
I’ve been working with these damnable, at times, machines since the days of hard-wired swap-out patchboxes, and Univac 1050-II Data Processing Systems, with the assorted keypunch machines, tape storage units, permanent punched metal tape diagnostic programs, through today’s laptops.
If I ‘don’t have a system down pat by now’, I never will.
“When we die, we either go to heaven or hell.”
And our voter registration, SSN, and other demographics are ‘reincarnated’ as democrat voters.
Please copy it and place it everywhere. I want something I created to go viral.
