Lanza Beaten by Sandy Hook Classmates: Source

(Newser) – The New York Daily News calls it an "exclusive" and the Huffington Post calls it a "possible motive": As a child, Adam Lanza was bullied and even beaten by his fellow students at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a relative of Nancy Lanza tells the Daily News. Nancy Lanza was so angry over the situation and her perception that teachers ignored the abuse that she considered a lawsuit, the relative claims. "She was convinced the school wasn't doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate."

In the family member's telling, Nancy would ask Adam, who came home "with bruises all over his body," what happened, but he would not respond. "He would just sit there," the relative says. At one point, Nancy even accompanied him to school to try and catch his classmates attacking him. The relative says Adam seemed to have emotional problems after his time at Sandy Hook. (Meanwhile, more details have emerged on why the gun shop that sold to Nancy Lanza lost its license.)

He was a LOT bigger than me, about a head taller. It happened while we were waiting outside church on Sunday. Monday, he didn't show up for school, came in late with a patch over his eye, marched over to his desk, got some books and marched out. I was summoned to the Mother Superior's office where I was confronted by mother superior and his mother. The mother superior, having only heard his ex parte pleading, immediately fell upon me. I made my presentation, convincingly I believe, and she reconsidered. There was one witness who happened to be both a friend of my assailant, and a fellow pisano. Mother Superior had me recite my account in front of his mother and herself, and then asked the witness if that was what he saw. His friend supported my account (that he instigated the confrontation). The mother superior looked at us, and at that time noticed that I was a head shorter and not known as a bully or scrapper and told me to return to class.

I wish I could say that that was the end of it. His father who had a professional reputation as a bully to defend called my house threatening my father, who was 5' 6" and 120 pounds, with grievous bodily harm and lawsuits. I don't recall Mr. Puzo employing vignettes about mob enforcers threatening someone with lawsuits because their kid got a shiner, but I know of one case where it actually occurred. I would find it amusing if it didn't happen to me. I think the guy's wife probably went all mafia wife apeshit on him.

Yeah, it used to be a hassle buying a pistol here. Now it is a marathon. And with the new law you can forget about getting the most popular modern firearms here after October (although they missed plenty of less popular ones).

There's no excuse at all for sloppy books. But it is probably the explanation for the large number of FFL violations.

Cases where someone uses violence to get “even” with being bullied has the perp targeting those he/she feels wronged by. In this case, Lanza attacked innocent five and six year olds that he had never had any contact with. Being bullied, even if he was, didn’t drive Lanza to shoot up a classroom full of Kindergarteners.
