Daughter and son in law just came back in, they couldn't get more than half a mile from the homestead. There is fast flowing water over the road.
It will be HAPPY GATOR TIME out here!
Choot ‘em! Just kidding, Swampy... please stay safe and prayers for you and your family.
Rain so hard last night in Jupiter it woke me and kept me up btw 2 - 3 AM. Sheesh!
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the wet, the left action media is having its routine hissyfits:
Mysterious Skinned Beavers Ignite Call for Trapping Ban
The discovery of eight skinned beaver carcasses near a walking path in the Don Valley has left residents disturbed and prompted a call to ban...
Stay dry. I saw the flash flood warnings before dawn. If you do not already know about this link, see:
Real-time weather coming at you from the SW (Hastings) courtesy of the UofFL Experimental Station. 4.96 inches in the last 12 hours anmd 6.08 in the last 24.
Been raining a lot in Orlando too....just waiting for animals to start pairing up...its getting that way
Here in Clay County we got 4” in the rain gauge in the last 24 hours.
In north Broward here, got stuck in road flooding that was half up my car door while trying to get daughter from school (didn’t want her to walk home in this mess).
Now my check engine light is on. I hope it was just some wiring that got wet.
looks like your in for another big hit very soon.
That’s the same system that got us over the past few days. It must have went out into the Atlantic and built up more water to dump. I think we got 15 inches in less than 2 days. Had to cross the street to get milk from convenience store and my shorts were to my hips.
*shorts were WET to my hips*
Take a look at your oil level, if the oil on the dipstick looks milky you’ve picked up some water and need an oil change.
I wasn’t gonna say a thing!
Water up to the hubcaps.
I hope you get some rest soon.
And only 50 miles away in Ocala less than one half an inch from the same storm.
LOL! Too late. I was already giggling like little schoolgirl and I'm a guy...
I know, sometimes slip ups can be funnier than intentional. LOL!
I just wanted to come back and say thank you for this advice. I had the option of a $60 scanner check, or just go ahead and change my oil (which was close to being necessary anyway). Couple miles after driving, the light went off!!!
Most appreciate my FRiend!
‘my shorts were to my hips.’
Ummmmmm, aren’t your shorts supposed to be around the hips?
Dangit Tanya Tucker, I KNOW I messed up with my description... :)
