I don’t disagree with you. All I was pointing out was that a) there are colleges out there that don’t fit your description and do provide a higher education that is useful (check out Hillsdale for example) and b) that one really does need additional training or education beyond high school. If you chose not to send your children to a college campus there are perfectly good distance learning opportunities that can fill the bill.
I would remind you that isolating will not change anything. We have to be able to interact and deal with the larger world. Part of the way that Christians do a very good service by being examples to those who are not yet part of the body of CHrist
Why is it a given that women have to work outside the home? (I am in no way opposed to women studying and even mastering a subject area as many FReeper women have -- Just asking why it necessarily has to lead to employment. Did Mary have an office overlooking Main Street Nazereth or wherever?).

It was nice when that theory could be applied without fear of persecution. Now it won't be long until you have to go underground as a Christian or risk the worst.
