I suspicion that you probably do not have any personal exposure to higher education.

B.S., MBA, Doctoral work, Neuropsychology, completed all but dissertation; A- average in classwork.

Read some Solzhenitzen

I have read Solzhenitsyn, and made no claims one way or the other about persecution of Christians in other particular countries.

Christians through out history have always suffered persecution.

Of course, That's why I selected a particular period and location when there wasn't much (at least not blatant, or threatening of religious liberty in a meaningful way. That's changed now -- the "Arlene Florist" case is in my own town (the nearest town)).

Christians (and others) had plenty of opportunity to stop his rise.

It wasn't always clear to people what was happening (early on) and in any event, that's hindsight. In fact, a butterfly could have flapped its wings somewhere and prevented Hitler from being born at all. Read about catastrophe theory. And if you are so keen about Christians proactively stopping evil movements, get out there right now and stop every last abortion in your city effective tomorrow morning. After all, more innocent lives have been lost that way than anything the Nazis did.

I am tired from the medication side effects and won't be able to post more today. I concur that we actually agree on most things but with a difference in emphasis. You seem to be more optimistic and hopeful about the future than me which probably is a laudable Christian orientation).

I cannot sot EVERY abortion even on a really good day. It is like the star fish on the beach. I cannot save everyone. I can however save at least one. And I do the best I can on any given day to stand in the gap.

I am glad you have the education you have. I think education is a wonderful thing for every one. I am also glad that you are as well read as you are ( too many today are not).

Sorry about the struggle with your med change. That can be frustrating as all get out. And yeah I guess I am an optimist. I don’t know that I am optimistic because of my Christian faith. I do know that in the past I was a very hardened cynic and learned the hard way that happiness is a choice. I try and live each day as though my life has meaning and value (and I think many do the same) and I sense that you do to.

I thank you for the conversation. All too often it is easier to just devolve into nastiness. Your responses have been thoughtful and insightful. Thank you for sharing your time with me
