Late on Saturday night, a San Antonio apartment complex needed an urgent visit from Time Warner Cable. Was it a building-wide Internet outage? Disrupted movie-viewing? No
a tiny kitten was stuck in one of the plastic pipes that contain Time Warners lines below the building, and wouldnt come out.
Time Warners own blog and a few local news outlets carried the story. One building resident resident heard faint mewing, and first called the first-line responders for stuck kittens, the local fire department, but they couldnt coax out the cat. Neither could the Time Warner techs with bits of food. So they returned the following morning to dig up and cut the pipe back, making the kitten easier to reach.
TV station KENS has an unfathomably cute photo of the kitten drinking out of a bottle of milk

Please do not make posts that portray cable people in a positive light. We can’t risk having sympathy for them.

They rescue cats from trees; funny I’ve never seen cat bones in a tree.

Wanna know how to get a cat out of a tree? Get a ladder. No need to use it, just place it up next to the tree and the cat will always jump out.

They rescue cats from trees; funny Ive never seen cat bones in a tree. The crows usually knock them out while picking them clean.
I wish I could find the video again, but there was a funny one with a major rescue of a cat "stuck" in a tree. The cat ran back up the tree within about ten seconds of being put on the ground.

A good name for a cat rescued from a cable box would be CAT5 or if you prefer higher data rates CAT6.

:^) Apparently the little critter’s already been named “Warner.” Given that they rescued her at their own expense, I think we can give them this one.
