Another good high-energy song, from the big-band era:
Sing, Sing, Sing - Benny Goodman Orchestra

Mustang Sally - Wilson PickettThis soundtrack has a highly respectable cover of that song.

we will drive the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to Carmel Be sure to stop off at Nepenthe in Big Sur for some mind-bendingly beautiful scenery

“Let it Ride” by BTO is pretty good, too.

I thought I was the only person in the world who remembered “Sausalito Summer Nights.”

“On the Road Again” Willie Nelson, and the “Stardust” album, ditto.
Eagles greatest hits.
Some new struts or overload springs for the rear, or lightlen your load so the Alfa does not wallow through the corners......
Drive slow and enjoy the view.

Now that I think about it, Alfa’s are more Verdi. Ferrari’s are Puccini.

Add ZZ Top’s “Nationwide” and Lynryd Skynyrd’s “Call Me the Breeze” to the list. I have to play music that will keep me awake on the interstate.

If you’re going back to the 50s, why not “Hot Rod Lincoln” by Commander Cody?

Is that the famed “Ventura Highway”, where the days are longer (
etc, etc.)?

Is that the famed Ventura Highway, where the days are longer (
etc, etc.)? I'd say likely, although no warranty is expressed/implied as to whether alligator lizards will be seen in the air.

I agree, Dire Straits...calling Elvis and Heavy Fuel and Walk of Life, and pretty much anything of Garth Brooks. Some Puccini for a nice break. Happy motoring. The best part is being with your son. Not to you Migraine...I'm just agreeing with your choice of Dire Straits. :-)Hey, I'll take it as to me, migraine! Good on Puccini, the overtures that is, most especially, also Mendelssohn's Italian, and a couple of Rossini and Verdi overtures, too. Good stuff -- heart-beatin', steering-wheel-dashboard drummin' stuff. Love driving to good music.

Great call on Edgar Winter — what a ball of fire virtuoso he is!
