A lot of Indians (from the subcontinent) are quite pale, and depending on where they were educated have British accents. Remember Freddie Mercury was of Indian stock.
JJs first Trek got the best reviews a Trek has gotten since Wrath, and made more money than any 2 Trek movies combined. If that’s the doomsday machine of the franchise I want that machine to target where I work. Currently this JJ Trek is running at 88% at rotten, which again puts it in the upper echelon of Trek movies, and will probably also make more money than any 2 not JJ Trek movies.
That’s more of an indictment of the tastes of moviegoers today (many of whom could care less about the history of Trek, anyhow). There is no comparison with this subpar cast of kiddies vs. the original. Nada.
