I thought that was darn nice of his buddies to stick a post-it note on him.
Guess the cops don't think so.

I was going to say, in order to get to .47, you’d have to drink FAST.

A 19-year-old Arizona State University student with a blood-alcohol level five times the legal limit...
The legal limit for a 19 year old in AZ is 0. He is infinitely over the legal limit.

Should have put him in a coffin with a flashlight inside and a lot of weight on top to make him think he had been buried alive. Then they could have left him several sticky notes to that effect too in order to make sure he believed it. Maybe he would quit drinking permanently after that.

That's more than often happens. At least they took him to the hospital. Many refuse to help because they don't want an MIP from the cops.
Looking back, I was a real idiot when I was 19. I won't touch Canadian Club to this day.

The kid is lucky to be alive with a BAC that high. If he hadn’t been quickly found by hospital staff he likely would have died of respiratory arrest or an obstructed airway. In my years in EMS I had some scary situations with patients having BAC as high as 0.27...unless they had been chronic alcoholics with a high tolerance they inevitably went into respiratory arrest.

how big of shots? your typical shot in a bar is 1 oz- so 20 shots is less than a fifth.

The spokesman said the student would be cited for consuming alcohol as a minor. The police department was continuing its investigation, and said more charges could be coming.
Proof that there is no situation so bad that it can't be made worse by adding cops.
