If you must listen to Wagner, do it in private

While on a trip to Israel, I was shocked to see Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Pfaff Sewing machines, and even Krupps Appliances.

IINM, German reparations have been (and are) paid off in goods, rather than currency. I think that’s the main reason.

I know! Those young thugs out in the streets playing Das Rheingold so loud at all hours of the night! It's enough to drive you crazy!

What a bunch of self-righteous drivel.

I suppose that people should only drive Ford vehicles "in private" because Henry Ford was anti-Semitic.

Applying modern standards to 19th Century Europe, 99% percent of people were racists and a slightly smaller percentage were anti-Semites.

And not surprisingly, it isn't just Wagner who professional victim groups want to ban and marginalize. It's virtually the entire canon of Western culture, all "dead white males," and mostly racist, sexist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic by the standards of today's politically correct left.

No one can take away 'The Ride of the Valkyries' from me; only from my dead cold hands griping a loud set of speakers.

Also, I wonder if Kay wrote this while ‘Carmina Burana’ was blasting through her ears.
