When President Barack Obama pushed his health care overhaul plan through Congress, he counted labor unions among his strongest supporters.
But some unions leaders have grown frustrated and angry about what they say are unexpected consequences of the new lawproblems that they say could jeopardize the health benefits offered to millions of their members.
The issue could create a political headache next year for Democrats facing re-election if disgruntled union members believe the Obama administration and Congress arent working to fix the problem.
The problem lies in the unique multi-employer health plans that cover unionized workers in retail, construction, transportation and other industries with seasonal or temporary employment. Known as Taft-Hartley plans, they are jointly administered by unions and smaller employers that pool resources to offer more than 20 million workers and family members continuous coverage, even during times of unemployment.

The GOP had nothing to do with writing the bill in the fashion that went after Taft-Hartley plans. The GOP-e would be too dumb (or too compliant) to make sure the distinction is clear in the minds of these unions and the other associated low-info voters, however.
The unions can FLIP to the Republican side and flip the balance of power in this country.
...but somehow I don’t see happening.

Since unions don’t give two sh*ts about anything beyond union business, Obama will shut them up by quietly tossing them a waiver-flavored bone.
We need to start using the Alinsky tactic of making them live by their own rules.
We need to demand that this thing be up and running on time, on budget, with full coverage for every single American.
Given yesterdays speech we should also demand the closing of Gitmo that he promised and signed the executive order for that first week.
The man will have a nervous breakdown.

I still cant get over the fact that unions back the policies of the RATS, when it is obvious that the policies of the right would put more people to work.

Just wait until they get a good look at the illegal immigration bill, the amnesty part will cause most of them to lose work and perhaps their jobs.
The main object of ObamaCare is to put everyone on Government Healthcare...like Canada, EU.
First, all those with health insurance will be priced out of the private market...and forced to go on government care
Note you do not hear big multinational corps complaining about ObamaCare....and the GOP is not defunding ObamaCare.... and plans to extend it to illegal aliens

Exactly, and I don't expect the RATs to own up to it's failure.
How did they not see it coming?
Forcing companies to buy expensive policies for those working 29 hours or more means hours were cut back, and then what happens? Those working 28 hours are forced to buy expensive policies even though they are making less money.
That alone should have been a big red flag.
