Will try it...thx!
Switch to FIREFOX then add-on ADD BLOCK PLUS. TWO problems solved!!!
You are using Firefox, I hope...
If so, try this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
I am using Firefox...but some ad ons are problematic.
Have you D/L’ed AdBlock? It works.
Capitalism?
I know, it's a way of life, like 1984, only worse. Obama and Google, what a country! And from what I hear, the new Xbox isn't going to be just another game console either...
Get Adblocker Plus and some good filter subs. I’ve yet to see the first ad with that arrangement.
Thx much!
I also happen to use DownloadHelper on my slow DSL connection as well as VLC to view (sometimes). Have been known to use DownloadHelper’s “Convert and Download” as a quick and dirty way to capture a mediocre MP3 from a music video.
On the original Youtube page you should be able to right click and “Stop Download” or close the page. It is easy to forget to do one or the other.
My main problem viewing Youtube recently is that Flash for Linux beyond 11.2 is not being developed. So I have to switch to Chrome now for many videos.
Also my Firefox has been insisting on using HTML5 recently even though I have tried the many supposed tricks to reverse this unwanted behavior (html5 is the pits on the slow DSL connection). The only thing that works is to append &html5=0 to the url, and even this sometimes doesn’t work if you’re previously viewed the video.
I should have said that Flash for Linux (which does not use the Chrome-Pepper interface) is no longer being developed.
