I like Nathan's hot dogs grilled over charcoal and hickory chips until they are just slightly scorched. Then in warm bun, top with mustard, ketchup, red onions and sauerkraut. ---- Yum... [There was 'Freds Famous Hot Dog's in a certain city. It was a standing room only place, as if it was put in a space that was between two large buildings. Good hot dogs there...]

It’s a hot dog on a bun covered in a layer of mixed cooked ground beef and ground hot dog, topped with chopped raw onion.
We used to get them back in the ‘60s at a little store in Jackson Michigan across from a bar called The Sugar Shack.
Probably all gone now, they were on the edge of an ‘urban renewal’ zone that looked like a bombed out city from WWII.
