Video at link. A lot of patience went into filming this charming video. Nice musical background.
I like Maru. He’s a cool, fat cat.
I got about halfway through it, and decided to check FR for updates.
When I did so, this story was the latest one posted!
Apologies, this video dates from 2-6-09. It’s still funny.
The video says he’s a Scottish Fold, but I don’t think his ears are “bent” enough. Perhaps a cross? Whatever! He’s adorable. I particularly like him on the hardwood floors with the boxes.
Me too. That’s exactly how I found it.
That was a lot of fun. Thanks.
It reminded me of Henri, the Existential Cat. Those videos are great too.
Your video is from 5-23-13, although it says that the video clips are from 2012. It’s adorable and proves that Maru is still playful as ever at the ripe old age of 6. I love that cat!
That was great! Maru is adorable :)
That cat is just as smart as I am. I had to learn to push my wheeled chair against the wall too to get out of it after my knee replacement in April. Otherwise the squirrely chair would dump me on the floor, and I couldn’t get up without my husband hauling me upright by the waistband of the back of my pants.
Maru is great! I loved the video of him jumping in and out of boxes!
Cute vid, thanks! I have a cat with almost the exact same markings and color, and he weighs 20 lbs. He was a stray kitten I trapped and intended to take to the pound but it didn’t quite work out that way.......:)
The baby is a big Maru fan!
Aw that’s sweet.
we just LOVE this cat Maru!
(he has dozens of videos at youtube)
I watch Maru when I want to find something uncomplicated to think about, or not.
Maru and boxes is hilarious. We had an old cat that would get in any box and think she was queen. Didn’t matter how shallow, big or small it was.
Its adorable and proves that Maru is still playful as ever at the ripe old age of 6.
A 6 year old cat isn’t old - mine is 17 years old and is still going strong.
Glad you like it.
Back to Maru, the cat with the dozens of videos (his owner must be unemployed, ha!)
he LOVES going into boxes, here is a good example:
but the question arises, is there a box small enough that a big fat cat like Maru will not try to enter, realizing that he’s just too big? Apparently not (scientific experiment here:
... which has to be about the funniest video around... ha! ).... happy day, fhc
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat as crazy for boxes as Maru.
Nope. We just put a nice big box out for the neighborhood cats and they mostly just rubbed it and then lost interest and walked away.
Not nearly as much fun as Maru!
Those are hilarious.
YES! Maru is a Hilarious kat! ha ha ha!
Everyone I share his videos with Laughs and Laughs!
The cats around our place are fun too, but not nearly as entertaining as Maru!
from whom we learn... just how much fun there is in this world, even with small and inexpensive things, if we only permit ourselves to enjoy it
My fave Maru video is this:
Just 2+ minutes, relaxing music, some incredibly cute things. I watch it when I’m stressed and need a break. Always helps!
What an entertaining cat! Thanks for the link.
Does Maru have a worm problem...or is it my imagination?
Ugh! I’d prefer that you hadn’t mentioned that! Maybe it’s a piece of rice.
There is Siamese in my cat - Must be something to it.
Not every Scottish Fold has perfect folds. The ones that don’t are pet quality. Still have the personality!
Might’ve sat on something that stuck to his fur. Looks a bit big to be worms...
Well, Maru is PERFECT quality — or, maybe we should say “purrfect” quality. I just love that cat.
Aye, he’s adorable and I bet he’s a hoot to own. He’s always finding something new to play with.
Watch some of the Meow Meow Maru videos if you haven’t seen those...
