Even if you busted into the wrong house? You’d just gun the dog down? And you do stand for individual freedom, do you not?
I’m no fan of pitbulls either, but cops aren’t just shooting them... they’re slaughtering all breeds of dogs on sight as a matter of practice when they break down doors.
I wouldn't hold my breath on that one...
I am speechless, what else would you as a cop shoot when after you wrongly enter someone’s home? Never mind I really don’t want to know as I am sure it would be a very chilling answer. But please tell us you are not a LEO, because there are already to many of your trigger happy types among or Law Enforcement Agencies now.
I feel the same way about Germans.
Yeah .. and Japs, too
You are correct. Suspicion of having illegal drugs should not warrant armed swat teams busting down doors and killing dogs and sometimes people. If guns or gold were declared illegal then that’s OK too?
Perhaps he can’t afford a dog crate or cage; perhaps he considers a chain more humane than either option.
In either case, the cops deliberately stormed an innocent man’s house and killed his dog.
THAT is the crime here.
Here are relevant questions: did they know a veteran resided there? If so, was his military service the *reason* he was targeted?
You got that right it is a psyc op kill the owner’s dog and you just sent a very chilling message that if you ‘screw’ with us the dog won’t be the only dead thing we leave behind.
they didnt shoot it because it was a pitbull
they would have shot that dog if it was a poodle
somehow sometime the ROE of “them vs us” has changed
when the police bust in, the dogs get shot
couple years back local mayor here had “mistaken” police bust-in and in front of him and his wife, they shot all 3 of his killer chocolate labs, including the one that was trying to run and hide
We are becoming a police state.
More evidence that the police are getting out of control. Looks like the warning to lock and load is getting closer.
Why cant those idiots nab a suspect when they leave their homes or apartments?
It’s not idiocy, it’s tyranny.
Which is easier for a Statist—to nab the right guy outside of his apartment, or to terrorize the wrong guy and violate his rights?
Well bless your heart. What a man.
We’re already there.
“... he can’t afford a dog crate”.
They are pricey and I get the feeling that this man wasn’t rolling in money. Plus, I had a friend who would use a long leash on her dog in the kitchen. The reason? Simple.. the rest of the house was carpeted. The kitchen had linoleum... thus, it was easily mopped. If her work look like it was going to be possibly extended by an hour or two, she would use a long leash so the dog had freedom of movement and if she soiled... it was easily mopped up.
Every time cops kill a dog, I look at my little Yorkie, Prissy, and appreciate her little life. She is asleep on my recliner with me now. Every dog owner who is close to his/her dog, must feel the same way I do about Prissy.
I don’t know if I could keep from shooting a person who shoots my dog, cop or not. To me, shooting my dog is a declaration of war.
