Exactly. Totally agree. There is hunting, and then there is shooting. One is sportsmanly and requires/hones skill, while the other is equivalent to playing a video game. One has the game having a fighting chance (for example, if you are not careful about wind direction, or you walk like a pregnant hippo, the animal will flee), while the other is like killing an ant with a magnifying glass. Hunting requires skills, while shooting only requires a weapon. In South Africa they will let you shoot a caged lion for a price, and you can then brag how you tracked down the beast.

Anyways, this is perfect for the military, as well as patriots and assassins alike. But it is definitely not a hunting system, even though it shoots very well.

If hunting were truly fair as your idea goes, the game would be packing too. :)

If your point for hunting was to obtain food to eat, then it would be “hunting”. I think the distinction is that it isn’t “sporting”.
