A wanna-be ninja is in jail facing eleven charges after an alleged robbery and chase in central Sioux Falls around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A man walking near 16th Street and Summit Avenue was approached by a man in a ninja costume claiming to be an undercover cop and threatened to arrest him. Police say the man in the costume put the victim in a choke hold and stole his backpack.
Officers later caught up with 28-year-old Saeed Shakir a few blocks away. There he got into a scuffle with police, injuring an officer's knee.
Shakir will be in court Tuesday afternoon facing a long list of charges including robbery, assault, impersonation of a police officer and drug charges.
Saeed Shakir? Not a native of Sioux Falls I would wager. One of those Amish imports no doubt.
Japanese-Amish. Long beard, black clothes and matte finished shuriken because the shiny ones are too flashy.
He's no South Dakotan. Probably came from...Minneapolis!
Ping for your consideration.

He'll probably be out and about again in six months. Sooner or later, he's likely to run into an armed citizen with considerably less tolerance for violent crime than the so-called "criminal justice" system.
I’ll be hoping for some media profiling, but I won’t be holding my breath. Thanks for the ping.
