Seventy House Republicans are planning a politically risky showdown with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to try to force additional debate on an immigration bill they say will mean amnesty for illegal immigrants and have dire consequences for the country.

The 70 members are petitioning for a special Republican conference meeting on the bill, a

That bill was pushed on by GW Bush. The GOP leadership then was complicit. The 2006 democrat takeover of the house was in response to so many failures and betrayals by the GOP.

Re: this is the shocking news

I could be wrong...after all I didn’t hear his entire show today. But it’s what he lead off with and he started it by talking about his 24 hour news bust from the day before...so I just assumed they were related and this was it.

With Beck, it’s hard to say. I agree with others, as much as I like the guy and enjoy his “chalkboard history lessons”, he is over dramatic and over exaggerated on these “shocking revelations”. He’s ruining his credibility because these “revelations” are very under revealing, IMO.

Note to House Republicans planning this move: “If you opt to dethrone the House Speaker, make certain you have the votes to take him out. If not, failure will come with a high political price to you.”

Latinos are known for embellishing their numbers. They represent only 8.7% of the electorate but to hear them project you would think they will be 40% by 2050. Not going to happen if this immigration bill is stopped. May not happen even with this bill passed.

White conservatives are producing many more children than white liberals. Blacks are staying even in births.

Don’t believe the statistics you hear. They want you to think it’s a foregone conclusion so that you will surrender according to their terms.

Look at Coulter’s column today on immigration and the Stupid Party.

my overarching point is that conservatives need a message that has the support of the majority of the american people

Stick with securing the boarders first. It's a winner.

The fascists in Washington are tapping all our communications right now to "keep us safe", while at the same time they have the U.S. borders wide open to any terrorist who wants to come here! Hello???
Not only will the cost of amnesty make Obomacare look small in comparison, but why bother tapping us when the broader let's everyone in no matter what? And instead they're controlling and watching US as if we're the problem????

Close the borders, so the government doesn't need to spy on us 24/7, and it'll finally fix the run away immigration problem once and for all. It's a twofer - a win/win.

They are elected to office to fight, to uphold the constitution as their oath states.
People elect the Congress, not Democrats or Republicans and the battle brewing is needed
at this time more than ever. Lets get the American people involved again instead of sitting
on their collective asses and allowing the tyranny that is corroding our civil rights daily!@

Meeting schmeeting. The ole Washington two step in action. Boner will happily let the caucus add border security measures out the wazoo. Then the littled bassturd will send it to conference with RINOS who will simply agree to the Senate bill.

Close the borders, so the government doesn't need to spy on us 24/7,

Wrong, the Government Never has to spy on us. EVER!

I keep hearing alternatives when the Act of spying on us is Illegal in the first place!
I wish people would get that and stop saying we can do it differently, Illegal is Illegal!

They are collecting data on us to be used in the future "Just in Case" a law is broken.
That information is being kept STAZI style to be used against us, not for our protection!

I WISH PEOPLE WOULD UNDERSTAND WTF IS HAPPENING@!
I'M PISSED AND EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD BE DAMN ANGRY ALSO!

Some of them like my Senator and his newly elected traitor-on-amnesty-sidekick McFlake, like the power. If I were elected, I’d go assuming I was elected to fix the garbage in Washington and if that was for two years, so be it. Our Country will cease to exist. I’ve never seen anything like this bunch of commies/marxists/socialists in my life.

Boehner needs to be thrown out on his face. All he does is gather Republican votes to advance Obama’s agenda. He never opposes Obama.

Our Govt. needs to enforce all laws, including those that we Americans have to follow. Stop the fraud, which stops their money flow, and self-deport, and have Border Security to stop terrorists and the criminals.

About time! Tea Party Patriots arise! Out with the Vichy Republicans! Out with the RINOs! Time for a new GOP—one that lives up to the reputation of Ronaldus Reaganus.

That is the RINO way isn’t it?
We have to make sure we don’t offend people and we just need to craft a “winning” message. /s

The “republicans” haven’t run a conservative candidate since Ronald Reagan. If we tell the truth, unlike the RINOs and the democrats, the people will support it. See Ronald Reagan’s huge landslide wins for example.

Jimmy Carter laid the ground work for Reagan in ‘80. Obama should have laid the ground work for another Reagan type conservative in 2012, but we got another lib RINO instead. The same liberal RINOs that hated everything about Reagan, and say we have to give up our principles and become more like democrats if we’re going to win. As if trying to become marxist-lite socialists was ever a winning strategy. George Bush the elder was the first in a long continuous line of liberal republicans running. Mitt Romney was the last. The only winner of the group George W. Bush, won because he could pretend to be “conservative” better than the others.

Why vote for the dem-lite when you can vote for the real thing? That is the problem the GOPe has created for the party since Popi Bush. Unlike you, I believe democrats tampering with the election had more to do with the loss than any imagined republican gerrymandering. But I think even that could have been overcome if we had nominated someone who really was conservative, who could actually defend and honestly believed in conservative principles. We’ve had 50 plus years of liberal ideas that have never even worked once. Conservative principles work whenever they are tried.

Now the democrats with the help of RINOs McConnell and Boehner are working out a coup against American citizens. They are trying to open the flood gates giving citizenship to people who hate us and never cared about what the US represents. They are generational socialists having been raised with the mindset that the United States owes them, the United States needs to take care of them. We are a giant ATM machine to them. They don’t care about freedom, our constitutional principles, or justice for all. They care about what they can get from us.

If they succeed, there will be no United States as we’ve ever known it anymore. Eventually, they will be able to deconstruct the Constitution in exchange for their socialist principles so that nothing will be the way the Founding Fathers envisioned.

We need to stand up for the United States. If we don’t stand up for what is right, if we keep worrying about offending the opposition, and hold hands and join the libs, we will lose.

Bush W, McCain and Mitt Romney are all examples of what you are suggesting. They never worked in the past why keep hammering on a dead horse?

said, "my overarching point is that conservatives need a message that has the support of the majority of the american people"

the only thing we can do is get rid of the media as we know it. 90% of them work 24/7 against us. But they are not the real problem those that hire them are.. the wealthy elitists

Don’t know if I’d agree with you about no one beating Obama. I just know none of the RINOs could perhaps by GOPe design. If all a candidate can say is ‘me too,’ there is no way they will beat a sitting president. It is about time the RINOs quit fighting us at every turn, realize their candidates can’t win and help us fight.
