The second-most-nonsensical answer from last night's Miss USA contest, the winner of which gets to spend more time with Donald Trump, came from masters student Mary Margaret McCord of Alabama, who took on a thorny question about NSA surveillance. "Is this an invasion of privacy or necessary to keep our country safe why or why not?" asked a judge, with no regard for the English language. If the question was word salad, the answer was filet mignon.
"I think the society that we live in today, it's sad that if we go to the movies, or to the airport, or even to the mall that we have to worry about our safety," McCord said. "So I would rather someone track my telephone messages and feel safe wherever I go than feel like they're, um, encroaching on my privacy." So both, then?
We owe Edward Snowden for this one.
“Let’s Go to the Mall.....today!”
Genius. She is a future White House Press secretary.

LOL!
She went to Alabama so that explains it...
Why do they allow these women to talk?
Quintessential Low Information Voter
nobody is watching these pageants to hear what these great minds have to say about international world affairs ( or even gender roles it seems)
but it really bothers me that the pageant officials try to make it seem like these women have stunning intellectual fortitude and have political platforms that are fabulously altruistic... it is merely a way to spoon feed more liberal pablum to the low information voter...via a bikini contest. Should one of these contestants actually possess the ability to string the truth together watch the media rake them over the coals...end rant.
Not just that could be Obama’s assistant or a cabinet member or a senate or congress critter.
The woman is a Master’s student?
No wonder Obama’s in office...
Did she text her answer to the judges?
ROLL TIDE!
Actually, I think her answer is largely representative of many Americans. In other words, I'm happy to trade my freedoms for safety, because it worked so well for those at the Boston marathon. And what I have got to lose by having the government listen to everything I say and do?
House arrest at MY house!
I just had to take a peak at the question and answer portion of Miss USA..WOW these women, Obama voters for sure..how about South Carolina, she had NO clue what Treason is..she had that deer in a headlight kind of look then started talking about documents and how they are important
If she misses a meal it could be fatal.
The woman is a Masters student?
No wonder Obamas in office...
