This Video Of A Giant Snake Opening A Door May Traumatize You For Life

Hide your kids, hide your wife. While you’re at it, hide yourself too.

“Bored of being in a dark room, she flips on the light, opens the door and bails. This particular episode takes place at 1am. This is why we keep doors locked with her around. We don’t need her harassing the neighbors.”

Didyma. Turkey. One of my favorite archeological digs.

And ~that~ is how we all wound up praying for Alice’s safe return, way back when.

He, however, used his neck like a wrench and deftly opened the *outside lock* on his door by flipping the inside catch, thus beginning his 3 week ‘crawlabout’.

“Lizard brains” my butt.

:)

Nope.

To this day, Alice constantly fiddles with his new _escape proof_ ~round~ lock, hoping to repeat his adventures in the walls.

It is not ‘accidental’.

It is intentional, willful and they apparently *never* forget their successes.

:)

They probably heard the preliminary noises and then grabbed the camera.

What cracks me up is the snake has the classic python “Derp!” facial expression....;D

Boas look intelligent...pythons, not so much.

Judging by Alice, I’d say they’re tactical rather than strategic thinkers, if you take my meaning.

Could be.

He still periodically ‘tests’ the air holes in his condo, to see if his snout will fit through.

I think he’s bought into the myth ‘anything a snake can get its head through...’.

His head is tiny compared to his body and he’s not *that* “collapsible”.

;D

I wanted those new style door knobs until I realized my two toddler grandchildren would likely figure them out way too fast.

Boids are not the supermodels of the snake world.

Glad you posted a followup! I think about Alice’s adventures (in Wonderland?) every once in a while. :)

yeah gator lost because it let go of the python and it backed away from it

I'd call it a tie. Losing is being eaten and there are a lot of examples of pythons eating (or trying to eat) gators. Gator didn't eat python, python didn't eat gator, it's a draw.
