Electronic Arts has a right to publish any message they want, however moronic it may be. We have a right not to give them our money. Shop smart.
EA will never get my money again. There are plenty of other game purveyors with much higher UAT standards.
Matt Groenig(Simpson’s creator) is a commie. He wrote some really hateful crap when Nixon died.
The Simpsons, if anything, are surprisingly right
They trashed Clinton pretty good. They make fun of Democrats. In fact it was the ONLY TV show I ever saw that made jokes about democrats.
Once when Bart and Lisa used Grampa’s name to get checks for something they asked him “Didn’t you wonder why you started getting checks all of a sudden?” and Grampa says “I thought it was because the Democrats were back in charge”
I’m still playing Diablo II, so not buying from EA is no sacrifice.
Yep. Should not have expected any differently. The First Amendment covers even idiots.
That was a great line from Grandpa Simpson..I remember that episode, where Bart and Lisa made an Itchy and Scratchy episode and put Grandpa’s name on it. I am surprised this Anti NRA message would be in a Simpsons video game they make fun of Dems all the time
When Maggie goes through the checkout in the opening credits the register shows GONRA.
I wish that show would die.
It’s sick, perverted, vile, and so obviously liberal preachy to boot.
It keeps showing up in my home, unfortunately.
The Simpsons are not “suprisingly right”. They have zinged both sides (especially Clinton), but they have never criticized Obama, quite the opposite.
That was a one-time joke to claim the show was right-wing.
Their general approach is to bash conservative ideas. A few swipes at liberal stuff doesn’t make them “fair”. Liberals always win. The fact they have evil big nuclear co. as focus proves it.
I kinda soured to Blizzard when they released Diablo 3. They completely ruined the franchise in my opinion. I lost interest in WoW a long time ago in lieu of a very profitable career in EVE. Starcraft is impossible to enjoy unless you’re an adolescent Korean boy or one of the massive throngs of people who commit every waking hour to playing it.
I’ll take Steam anyday. Plenty of indy games, cheap entertainment, and I can play Civilization V until my eyes are bleeding.
I can go back even further than that. I still play Grand Prix Legends, and that dates back to 1998!
I have not played D3 and probably won’t, just because I don’t like the forced-online aspect. Just to show you how far behind the curve I am, the next games on my list are Portal 1 and Planescape: Torment.
When you get a chance, there’s this game called “Doom” that I’ve heard good things about. ;^)
Don’t feel bad about the. The oldies are the best! I’m an avid Sim City 4 player, and I have numerous large cityscapes I visit often. I refuse to get Sim City 5 for the same reason you won’t get D3: always online required. No thanks, EA!
I love Steam for the older games and the fact that I can play anything I want when I want to play it without having to dig a CD/DVD/BRD out of a cabinet or ISO over my NAS.
I’ve heard about it too. I’m just not wild about first-person shooters; I’d rather pretend I’m a Formula One driver. :)
Why not NASCAR? If nothing else, you get better eats in the South. ;^)
