Might as well just get a Belgian Tervuren. They're essentially a super-sized Keeshond. In my house they're known as the Malinois' hippy cousin...

Don’t reckon I’ll get a dog at this late stage in life. Never had much reason to have one. I guess it’s the “teddy bear” look of the Keeshond that I like.

Belgian Tervuren and Malinois are both beautiful breeds. I think they look more similar to a long-haired German Shepherd than they do to a Keeshond. Keeshond have the cobby, short-backed bodies, heavier legs, short muzzles, and curly tail - more like the Nordic breeds.
