In what bible do you read this? That is a man made statement, and at best it would need to be treated as a proverb, which is something that is true often enough to be worthy of consideration but which is not universally true.
I would be the first to assert that the greatest spiritual discretion and strongest faith is needed to guide homosexuals successfully out of their sin. I would also believe, based on what I have seen of you, that you are not at the point in your spiritual life where you could exercise that. I would suggest that you not personally try. However you could point them to a ministry known as Exodus International. Technically organized as a network of self help groups, it is thoroughly orthodox Christian faith based.
In the meantime please refrain from denigrating the awesome compassionate power of Christ to deliver from sin. There aren’t big parades of “delivered gays” and the reason is not because they don’t exist but because they are forever encountering people who do not understand, either the legalistically condemnatory like you or the excusers or the radical homosexual crowd, and the spiritual toll is immense to them when they do. However, if God presented to you on a silver platter someone ready to walk through the redemptive door of 1 Cor 6, I don’t really believe you’d want to muff it, would you?
I believe I have said all that could be meaningfully said at this point. If you want to talk on, let me think about it. I am not sure it is spiritually wise, though I am not backing off an iota of what I have said.
