For some reason, it tends to bounce around the abdomen a bit, *nicking* internal organs.
Skull shots are always unpredictable. For some reason, some people have skulls as hard as river rocks. Others are quite brittle.
Attempted suicides are the most common, with some rounds of different (.38 and smaller) rounds bouncing off. One guy shot himself on the side of the head, the bullet penetrated the skin, but not the skull, then traveled under the skin over the top of the skull to exit through the skin on the other side. He shot himself 3-4 times this way, until he was in such pain that he had to stop.
You might imaging how pebble-on-a-cars-windshield fractures on the skull where there bullets originally hit, must have hurt like a son of a gun.
Wall, I'll be swoggled! So that's why ah'm having a bit of squirrel-hitt'n trouble! 20 year ago, I lived at 1,700 feet, and always hit'em. Then we moved to 4,200 feet, and I can only hit'em about half as far away as before! Who'd a knowed; I just thunk it were a-cause my eyes was a gettin older and hands shakier.
I think you have already been swoggled. Try Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley; I think your shootin’ will be perfect there, especially this week!
LOL
Anything I tried shooting there this week would be hotter’n a $2 pistol on Saturday night. Might not even need to pull to trigger on the black ones.
Only mad dogs and Englishmen....
This mile+ stuff is BS. You would have to arc it so high the bullet would be going near terminal velocity 250mph(falling straight down) by the time it hit the ground. That would be a bruise or a headache.
