Prager University: 4th of July Seder With the PolitiChicks!

Classic episode of PolitiChicks, based on Dennis Prager University’s “Renew Your Vows” on the 4th of July. As a Jewish American educated in both traditions from a young age, I've often seen parallels between the themes surrounding the Exodus of the Israelites from ancient Egypt and the founding of the United States in a spirit of liberty with the Declaration of Independence, etc., etc. This is not any kind of original observation: the Founding Fathers, familiar as they were with the Exodus from their knowledge of the Old Testament, were known to have frequently referred to the Exodus as an inspiration for their actions during the Revolutionary period.

But this is the first I've heard of a "4th of July Seder," which takes the parallels between the Exodus and the American founding one step further. With the format of a "Seder," American families are provided a great opportunity to educate youngsters in the history and tradition of the United States on the anniversary of the founding (July 4th), in a manner obviously borrowed from the traditional Jewish Seder (which educates the young and old alike on the history of the Exodus at the time when that history is observed: Passover).

Brilliant idea from Dennis Prager, coming at a time as it does when American youngsters are more frequently losing contact with the history and tradition of their country, caused in large part by the ever-expanding control of public school education by the Left!
