Same-sex ruling has employers tweaking benefits

The Supreme Court’s landmark ruling on same-sex marriage has private employers around the country scrambling to make sure their employee benefit plans comply with the law.

The impact of the decision striking down part of the federal Defense of Marriage Act is clear in the 13 states and the District of Columbia where gay marriage is currently legal or soon will be: Same-sex married couples must be treated the same as other spouses under federal laws governing tax, health care, pensions and other federal benefits. But employee benefit experts say the effect of the ruling remains murky in the other 37 states. The court left intact another provision of the federal anti-gay marriage law that allows one state not to recognize a same-sex marriage performed elsewhere. …

About 62 percent of Fortune 500 companies already offer same-sex domestic partner health benefits, according to the gay advocacy group Human Rights Campaign. More of those companies, and perhaps smaller firms, could decide to extend those benefits in light of the court’s decision. Several companies that already offer domestic partner benefits told The Associated Press that they did not plan any immediate changes. That includes Ford Motor Co., which has offered same-sex benefits to hourly and salaried employees since 2000, spokesman Jay Cooney said. …

That was my first thought. Eventually, businesses will stop covering "spouses" at all. They will cover the employee, and nothing else. (I happen to know what this is like because many years ago, when my husband had a job at a very small business, they paid for his insurance; but, not anything for me or the children.)

Fortune 500 companies only. The vast majority of businesses in this country are small businesses or family owned concerns, which do NOT offer family benefits on the basis of perversion.

I actually use the HRC's shopping guide to make my purchasing decisions - based on their low scoring companies. Give it a try. And then let the Homo Reich Crusade know you appreciate it.

That doesn’t matter to the Tranhumanist / Postgenderist social engineers who will now have funding available to pay for their “infertility” treatments... such as creating sperm from female stem cells.

What is likely to happen (and is happening already), is that Employers will cease all "Spousal Benefits", and improve their bottom-line in so-doing.

The faggots and dykes will gain nothing, and how do you PROVE your claim that you are Homosexual, anyway?
