MALIBU (CBSLA.com) The city of Malibu is adopting a zero tolerance policy to visitors who overstay their welcome.
A team of 10 volunteers will go on patrol and issue parking tickets to people who fail to observe time limits.
The parking enforcers can currently hand out warnings.
Starting in mid-July, the volunteers will start writing actual tickets for non-moving violations.
Then the real cops come out to shoot you and your little dog too.
Then they comandeer your house to spy on your neighbors.
This is so ripe for extortion and fraud.
In Texas someone would take one of them out, as happened with Arizona trying to use a civilian to protect a speed camera (about 5 years ago). It’s a risky business to be in when you’re not a professional.
For the chance to wear an “official” uniform, many busybody wannabe cop-types will rush to apply.
Anyone see the “Dinette Set” cartoon this week of the volunteer calling on his neighbor’s leaf blower use?
Red meat for brainless Freepers.
This will undoubtedly be just snooty people who think they have bought beachfront homes, who actually are overlooking public beaches... writing tickets in the public access parking lots because they have not left by nightfall and may want to enjoy some alone time with a special someone watching the sunset.
Just don’t volunteer on the borders...
Or else you’ll be jailed and labeled vigilantes!
Malibu doesn’t want tourists. They want only beautiful people on their streets, in their restaurants and on their beaches.

Good point.
I spoke before I thought. I’m in a small town that needs it’s tourists and that sort of attitude would not be welcome here.
I guess there are many who would volunteer to be Nazis over others.

Sure there are.
There was a poll and a bunch of libs said it was fine for the IRS to go after conservatives.
Please explain what you mean.
