Very interesting article. Didn’t Al Gore also take credit for this?

Another thing, people used to say "the United States are a great country." I'd like to know when people started saying "is a great country" instead.

No matter what happens or the history of the United States there is no doubt that the United States was God’s will and inspired by God by Godly men.

Another thing that get's misunderstood is that many people think that the " United States " is the Federal government.... nope... nada... these United States of America first and foremost is " THE PEOPLE " that formed a government of the people , for the people and by the people.
The Bill of Rights and the Constitution was a covenant between God, the people, and at that time a legitimate government in what the Government can't do and had set limits in what it was allowed to do.... in the end ? it is the will of the people and the " consent " of the people that allowed the government to do anything.

“United States”? Shouldn’t we change it to “Diversity States”?
Unity is the opposite of diversity, so it is obviously racist.

It’s used once in the Declaration of Independence.

Bull Pucky... I’d bet that the phrase had crossed many a lip long before the instances mentioned here. Likely it was spoken and heard if not thousands then most certainly hundreds of times prior.
