But if one is in Florida or planning on visiting Florida, what precautions should one take?
It should be noted that Sanford is on the Northeast side of Orlando, Florida.
Disney World is on the Southwest side of Orlando. Will that be far enough away so that innocent tourists will not become victims?
Will trouble spill over into other Florida cities/locales?
Troubling is that Obama is not trying to keep people from possibly rioting.
Seems like our president should be trying to keep the peace. The lives at stake are all people in the possible troubled areas. African-Americans may end up in jail or injured/shot. Other people (whites/hispanics) could also be victims.
Anyone have a sense of what might happen, especially since Obama seems to not care if riots break out...

Normally, Disney would be safe, since it is far away from any possible trouble areas. It’s in a pretty unpopulated area actually. However, the NAACP convention is in town next week, and the conventions are held on the south side near the tourist attractions. It is possible they will go to Disney and wreck up the place, though somewhat unlikely since Disney doesn’t sell big-screen TVs. Still, Disney is a “gun-free zone” which translates into a lot of unarmed targets for the community organizers.

I'm not worried about riots and I would bet Disney is not worried about riots .....they have made security an art form.
If GZ is acquitted (*highly* unlikely,IMO) it would be wise to steer clear of every “chocolate city” in the nation.
Glad I live in the suburbs and don’t have to worry about it. Any rioters come into my neighborhood and the chances are good they would never leave.

You have to understand Obama is a community organizer...he wants agitation in the community so that he can arrive amidst crisis and be seen as the great mediator. I would even expect Eric Holder to immediately issue a statement saying the not guilty verdict is demeaning to “his people”.
I am sure the locals here in Memphis will loot no matter what the verdict.
I would think that everyone in the country should be ‘on alert’ for the day/night of the verdict, not only in Sanford or Florida.
As someone on another thread said, “They do not need a reason to riot. They need an excuse.”
They riot when their team loses but also when their team wins.

Disney is a "gun-free zone," which basically means their security is designed for locking up drunken and rowdy tourists from England in speedos with too much sunscreen.
I can prepare for myself. I don’t need the President to address the nation.
