"His condition has stabilized and he has shown signs of improvement," Dr. Michael Mack, one of the singer's physicians, said in a videotaped statement released Wednesday.
The country singer, 53, has been hospitalized since Sunday, having been admitted to the Baylor Medical Center in McKinney, Tex., with "presumptive cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure," according to his other physician, Dr. William Gray.
Travis had been in "excellent health" until three weeks ago when he developed a viral respiratory illness, said Gray.
On Tuesday, Travis continued to be in critical condition following a heart procedure. An Impella device had been inserted via a catheter in hopes of stabilizing Travis for transit to another hospital offering more specialized care.
He is currently at the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
"On behalf of his Mr. Traviss family, friends and associates, we would like to express our extreme gratitude for the overwhelming affection and support that Mr. Travis has received," Mack added.

Dang ... I’m 5 years older than him and look 10 years younger and I smoke cigars and drink booze and eat lots of Beef and Pork and Eggs and “Bacon!”, not to mention the last 6 years of my life the stress level has been worse than when I was in the Military.
(May have to thank my EX after all, my goal is to outlive her on sheer willpower alone, seems to be working)
TT
Oh yeah and outweigh him by prolly 40lbs

“I Told You So”...
I am 5 years younger but, won’t look a thing like him 5 years.
I’md 35 pounds overweight(working on that) but, I eat veggies like crazy. I was the only child in my family who just loved em.
Can’t stand a bunch of butter on my veggies. Just boil em, grill em, braise them or with lite vegetable oil and some garlic toss em in the oven.
I have yet to meet a person who upon eating brussel sprouts and garlic roasted in the oven weren’t sudden converts . They take on a very nutty tasted when roasted.

He drank himself into that position I think.
Weirdest thing is I CRAVE Brussel Sprouts about twice a year... gotta have them (fresh or frozen boiled or grilled, makes no difference)
They are not that easy to find sometimes
