Defending our Friend; the Most Hated Man in America [George Zimmerman]
amazon ^ | 9/11/2012 | Mark & Sondra Osterman)

Posted on 07/10/2013 6:33:21 PM PDT by SoFloFreeper

The sound of a single gun shot cut through the quiet, rainy evening and a lanky, black teen, Trayvon Martin, fell to the ground. The shooter was someone Mark and Sondra Osterman spoke with daily. He played Santa for their daughter, treated his wife with preciousness, often ate at their table, and shared their joys and sorrows.

The Ostermans are George and Shellie Zimmermans best friends. They were the first people Shellie Zimmerman called on that tragic February night in Sanford, Florida. Because of serious death threats, the Ostermans took George and Shellie Zimmerman into their home, hiding them for nearly a month. With their own lives in danger, they offered protection and encouragement to their friend, because, he would have done the same.

As the Ostermans and the rest of the country await news of George s trial for second degree murder, the couple wants the public to know the George Zimmerman they know; the kind, giving guy who had many black friends; the one doing his duty as a citizen, forced to retrieve his gun and use it because his life was in danger; the George Zimmerman who shed tears upon learning Trayvon had died at the scene.

The shooting of Trayvon Martin has been called an American tragedy. Mark and Sondra Osterman believe it will be a greater tragedy if George is convicted for doing anything outside of defending his life on the night of February 26th, 2012. They pray daily that truth and justice prevail for their good friend, the most hated man in America.

I know many of us bought Duke Lacrosse apparel to stand with the young men who were falsely accused of rape by a runaway prosecutor....

The same is happening now with George Zimmerman. I think I will buy this book just to stand in solidarity against the corruption that is charging him with being a racist murderer.

Sandra Osterman is the girl who called Zimmerman "Georgie" in her testimony.

Frankly, I have heard that George Zimmerman was a Democrat...well, I hope this little experience has opened his eyes as to how that political party operates...they throw ANYONE under the bus in order to agitate their base--and I truly, truly, hope he DOES change his mind about supporting liberal policies in the future.

Regardless of his political affiliation, George Zimmerman had EVERY right to protect himself against his attacker.

I hope Barnes and Noble will carry the book. That way, I can download on my Nook reader so I can enlarge the print.

At dinner tonight, a liberal was extremely angry that Zimmerman might get off. He’s upset about the stand-your-ground defense (which wasn’t appropriate or used in the trial.) He thought the 911 operator had “ordered” Zimmerman not to get out of his car. (The operator testified that they’re taught not to give orders.) He used the proximate causation argument (if he hadn’t done this or that then he wouldn’t have had to use his gun.) Proximate causation arguments are not allowed as they are infinite in scope. I hope that Zimmerman is able to sue and recover from the various news organizations that caused this trial. Only liability will bring accuracy to the news. (I can’t say bring accuracy back to the news, because I’m pretty sure there has never been accuracy in the news.)

Unfortunately, many Republicans jumped on the anti-Zimmerman band wagon. I don’t think Zimmerman will be supporting some Florida Republicans any time soon.

Zimmerman - “the most hated man in America”? I doubt it. I think the most hated man in America is in Washington, DC .

Except that Corey, Bondi and Scott are Republicans as were a number of others like Allen West who early on joined the lynching party.
