If things where you are are in any way they have been whereever I have gardened and asked for Extension advice, an “ag agent”, unlike Mother Earth articles & “Green Acres representations, will just refer you to a Master Gardener. Cut out the middleman, and consult a MG in your area, who is familiar with local conditions, and who will actually look at your plants, to make a recommendation .

Good advice about the Ag agent. At least he/she may give me the name of a Master Gardener in our area who is willing to be consulted!
