AK INSIDER has it that soon after Begich heard Palin may run for his Senate seat, the blasting of Palin immediately began through his campaign network and fundraising apparatus. This is the first time from last years start of Begichs campaign blitz for reelection that he singled out an attack on a specific individual; possible or already declared candidate.
Begich has broadsided Palin in the dark alleys of political circles, before she has even committed to run. Begich does not want to compete with Palin.
Forget Lt. Gov. and U.S. Senatorial candidate Mead Treadwell; forget Computer Joe Miller. To date, Begich has not squandered campaign funds to attack any Republican contender until Palin came along.
Republican moderate and Randy Ruedrich Republican party member Treadwell has limited support from Alaskan conservatives and Independents. Begich does not have to pull out all the stops to campaign against self-destructive Computer Joe. His failed 2010 General campaign against Independent write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski smoked Computer Joe is evidence enough.

I like Sarah.
There may some “AK Insider” who wants Palin.
But what do the polls say?
The last I saw dems keep this Senate seat only if Miller or Palin win the nomination.
The goal should be getting rid of Begich.
Treadwell is of the extreme RINO-GOPe variety.
“Treadwell?”
Any relation to Kodiak BearChow Treadwell?
RINO hide not tough enough?
BTTT
Begich does not want to compete with Palin.

well there is that field dressing a moose competition in lu of a third debate...
Its up to Sarah Palin do decide her future course and I will support her whatever she chooses to do.
Sarah Palin needs to go to every town in Alaska & explain why she resigned as governor. I talked to a fellow a few weeks ago who lives there & resented her resignation, although he’d liked her before. I don’t think he understood the machine that was unleashed on her. She needs to tell them explicitly how many ethics complaints were made, what they were on & how much it was costing her & Alaskans. Also, what Rahm Emmanuel was telling state dem legislators to do as far as not cooperating with her anymore. Once Alaskans understand what she was up against, they’ll be on her side & I have no doubt she’ll beat Begich in 2014.
If Miller would make-up with Sarah and not say anything negative about her qualification to be president, she might endorse him. And, that would likely put him over the top in the AK Senate race.
I have never heard Miller say anything but good things about her.
Oh, I can only imagine how Karl Rove would react if Sarah ran.
Miller turning on the Palins after they got him nominated, is what cost him the seat, that, and the Senate GOP endorsing Murkowski.
I never heard Miller say anything but good about her.
Can you document?
I have relatives in Alaska and they know why she left and are disgusted with what was done to her. As to the “machine” and the ethics complaints they know all too well.
They remember her retail/grassroots political skills. They remember her town halls discussing ACES and AGIA with her ability to sell an idea one-on-one. She’s got the gift.
This will have shades of 2006 when she took on the Murkowski and Stevenson machines. I think she’s up to the challenge is she wants to run for Senate.
Sarah knows about the “machine”...she has experienced it first hand to this very day.
Yes, an interview with Fox news, this is what set the Palins off and resulted in Todd getting very angry, it was a blow to his conservative support.
WALLACE: Mr. Miller, we’ve got about two minutes left, and I want to get into former governor Palin of your state who backed you and certainly helped you win with her backing. Do you think that Sarah Palin is qualified to be president? And would you like to see her run?
MILLER: You know, I’m running a U.S. Senate race right now in the state of Alaska. That’s what I’m focused on. I’m — you know, I’ve been asked about various candidates throughout the country during this race. That’s not my role, to comment on those candidacies.
During his run for the Senate, against Murk, during a tv interview, he questioned her qualifications to be president, something to the effect she didn’t have the experieince (it was a SRM set up, of course) . She didn’t give him any kind of support or endorsement after that, and we know what the result was.
Looks like ansel12 has the correct quote.
