The dog’s name is George Zimmerman.

As long as the kitten isn't named Trayvon.

Sorry, I didn’t realize there were 2 of them. That makes a 12 pack, so that’s good!

Kids, kittens and puppies have to learn to dislike things. It’s so calming to me to know that even in the animal kingdom, love erases all the hard lines.

Thanks, S&A! You are awesome!

That’s so sweet. She really loved cats, didn’t she? She should have been on the ping list, LOL.

She really did. She was spayed and never had a litter of pups and along about that same time our barn cat had a mess of kittens. I guess that was what triggered her maternal instincts.

We actually did have one kitten quite a few years later that did try to nurse and she was in absolute heaven.

Could it be she was lonely in her nest in the BARN?

Maybe she wanted to be around the family in a nice cozy nest in your house at night.

To be with dead cats could have been a clue.....

Shih tzus are not known as mean or aggressive, but I feel sorry for the person that tries to separate them.

My beloved German Shepherd adopted a tiny 3-week kitten we rescued (literally, not that hyped version) from a creepy little abusive kid who, turns out, had stolen her. Immediately away from home Shana took her as her baby, letting her suckle and sleep in her legs and all. Shana was 7 and never spayed, never lived with a young animal and only ever had occasional contact with our best cat who got to come inside sometimes, which she preferred to torture.
