I wonder if people in Buffalo would just become Steelers fans, then?

Fans in Erie, PA would approve. They are something like 10 miles closer to Buffalo than Cleveland, and 16 miles closer than Pittsburgh. So they get force-fed the Bills game feed every week, like it or not.

“That sentiment was best expressed by Fred Dryer, who at the time said “I hate these people [the organization and its owner] for what they did, taking the Rams logo with them when they moved to St. Louis. That logo belonged to Southern California.””

How funny seeing as Los Angeles took the Rams from Cleveland, Ohio; the Lakers from Minneapolis; and the Dodgers from Brooklyn - all complete with team names, logos and colors (albeit, the Lakers eventually changed from blue/white to yellow/purple).

As for the NFL - look at teams in old stadiums or with poor stadium deals: Jax, San Diego, maybe Buffalo.

Atlanta. City just agreed to jack up hotel taxes to the tune of about $200,000,000 so that Arthur Blank can have a new $1 billion dollar retractable roof playground that looks like an origami contest gone bad.

Why even build stadiums out of concrete if they are only going to be used for about twenty years like the Georgia Dome?

I bet it will be the Rams.

Probably. Last I heard the Rams and the city were about half a billion dollars apart on what each wanted to spend to upgrade the Jones Dome. I can't see them bridging that wide of a gap. I think the Rams really want out of St. Louis. On the other hand, who wouldn't?

They probably didn’t mind that much in the early 90s.

That and nobody wants to be the guy that “lost the team”, it’s a good way to lose re-election. As much as everybody complains about the money everybody still wants their team.

And at least there’s is a history there. The Rams are probably still more associated with LA than St Louis.

I like the idea of holding a pre-season game in other countries even though I know it’ll never catch on elsewhere. They should do one in Seoul just because it would probably sell-out and have a good kpop pre-game and half-time show.

All my rowdy chingoo’s are coming over tonight!

St. Louis is the next Detroit. Kronke could build his own stadium in St. Louis Riverport area and the State of Missouri would give him the land cost free and tax free. He is a smart cookie and will do what Robert Kraft did either in LA or the St. Louis Riverport area. Of course why pay to build with your own funds if you can get LA or some eitity to pay for you.

So Jerry ... sell the Cowboys to a Texan (or to the fans), buy the Rams, and move them back to LA. Problem solved.

Here’s the headline I want to see.

“Limbaugh buys Saints, moving them to San Antonio for 2014/2015 season.”

Call the team the San Antonio Bandits.

It ain’t about the weather.

Gotcha ... that seems to the reason LA doesn't have an NFL team. Rams had poor attendance Raiders same thing ... both teams moved on. LA has UCLA and USC, both teams go way back and LA loves them ... they fill their stadiums up whenever they play at home.

Jax as a city is extremely spread out. More people care about the Gators and Seminoles than the Jaguars.

The problem with the South is that most people came from somewhere else and still keep their allegiance to their teams from up North. It’s not an ingrained part of the city’s culture, like say the Bears are in Chicago.
