Go back in time and read some of the stuff the Russians said. They said the way to defeat the USA was from the inside.
They were hoping to spark a race war in the 60s, but the peaceful marches and hope of even more progress, strength of the churches, and people’s belief in working within the system all contributed to the failure of that effort. Americans were turned off by the violent words and actions of some of the black power groups.
They also had a slower plan involving the entertainment, educational, and political system as well as reducing the strength of the Churches and Christianity.
They have been joined by other groups such as La Raza, and the ROP fanatics. Congress Critters??? Some are just greedy and self-centered. Some are convinced that socialism and communism are best. Some are proof that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I doubt that there are very many people in Congress, that really understand the constitution, and the relationship between the people and government that must exist for free market capitalism to work and allow for people to move up the economic ladder. Nor do they understand the true value of property rights. Maybe 5 people total from the Senate and House understand the real consequences.
We are at a point that what needs to be done will likely mean political suicide, and so most are not willing to stick their necks out.
The left did not make its gains overnight, after Reagan, if we had continued the march back, I think we would be better off, but we didn’t, instead the gains were erased, even though every one tried to pretend to be a Reagan standard bearer.
We all know that socialism will eventually crash, and it appears that time is pretty close. Who knows what will finally happen? Either Congress enacts sensible policies or they don’t and nature takes its course.
