Yes, I told my hubby last season that if they followed the books, then the show was going to have to do a major recast since, pretty much, everyone died in the prison and the only ones to walk out were Carl and Rick.
I think the ending of last season may mark a very big departure from the books.

They seem to like keeping viewers off balance. That way, nobody knows for sure what’s going to happen.
