crass, sexist and exploiting racial stereotypes. In other words, it's probably incredibly funny.

"Fox sitcom Dads is already taking heat in early reviews for being crass, sexist and exploiting racial stereotypes."
So, they're accusing it of being funny.

Drat, you beat me by less than a minute. :-P

Hillary’s running.
So men have to be trashed.
Prepare for the return of big ugly shoes for women, too.
And giant cheap plastic bead necklaces.
And Neck Shawls For Every Occasion.
And Angry Chopped Blond Haircuts for Females.
And big-cuffed shirts for black polyester pantsuits.
It’s called Normalizing the Monster.

Ironically, I was just listening to Martin’s first album. I bought it when it came out, circa 1972, and it has always been a favorite record of mine. Every song is an ear worm. Last week it was ‘Partly Marion’, and this week it’s ‘Eggs’.

Dads centers on two friends, played by Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi, whose politically incorrect fathers re-enter their lives and disrupt them. The raucous, loose-lipped dads are played by Martin Mull and Peter Riegert. <<
Given the current trends in the entertainment industry, I assumed "Dads" would be about two "hip and cool" homos raising some kids in L.A. and trying to pass themselves off as straight to a "homophobic" world.

Martin Mull made some hilarious records. And TV shows. And movies. Genuinely funny guy.

It doesnt debut until next month, but the Fox sitcom Dads is already taking heat in early reviews for being crass, sexist and exploiting racial stereotypes. And, if that's not enough, based on the promos I have seen for the show, it isn't funny!
Take THAT, Fox!!

It looks lame, but considering that around 90% of the TV sitcoms on today are low-brow, trashy, toilet humor stuff, I'd say it's no lamer than usual:

Personally, I’m rather surprised Giovanni Ribisi would participate. His forte is usually dramatic film roles. Although as a kid, he did do the “New Leave It To Beaver.” Not quite the same type of sitcom, of course.

Bleh. I’ll just watch all the episodes of “Phineas and Ferb” again.

In other words, it's probably incredibly funny. There was a time when a show didn't have to be crass, sexist or exploit racial stereotypes to be incredibly funny.
