* Weve all had the experience. Youre cruising along the freeway at 70 mph when suddenly you see nothing but tail lights as you come upon a wreck or a construction project and suddenly its stop and go. You wish you could just take off and fly over the traffic jam and arrive at your destination on time. But that is only an idle fantasy. UNTIL NOW!!! With the new Vultee Aerocar (available in post-war America) you can just pull over at the first sign of a traffic jam, attach the wing and tail assembly and, before you can say roger wilco, you are off to the wild blue yonder, leaving the traffic trouble behind and below.

Konev’s armies continue to advance southwest [photo at link]
On the Eastern Front... Konev’s armies capture Belgorod and continue to advance southwest. To the north, near Orel, German forces are forced back. The 2nd Panzer Army suffers severe losses.
In Sicily... The British occupy Catania and Paterno.
Notice a change in articles today. Two articles on post war personal transportation, now that there has been good news on the war front.
To bad we never got our aerocars and personal helicopters............
Where’s my damn flying Delorean? You know, the one with the “Mr. Fusion” on the back of it.
I’ve been promised these things ever since I watched “Forbidden Planet” and “This Island Earth” as a young lad.
