Whats next? Telling the fans to be quiet?Who knows? Maybe they will require each team to deliberately fumble, and throw passes to the defense.

Without the excessive celebrations and taunting how will we the fans know who are the classless jerks (e.g. Chad Johnson) and the true class acts (e.g. Barry Sanders)?

Might save some embarrassment for the classless idiots. I mean, why don’t you act like a man who has been there before when you get into the end zone?

Whats next? Telling the fans to be quiet? They already took their purses and backpacks away.

Whats next? Telling the fans to be quiet? This past season I attended a Denver Bronco game in Denver. Peyton Manning was working his offensive magic on the field when a wave started around the stadium. Peyton raised his arms with an exasperated look and the wave stopped immediately. Every one of the 75,000 plus in attendance shut up ... you could hear a pin drop. Sort of the same effect when the home room teacher walks into the classroom. Now, Payton likes an exuberant crowd, just not when he's calling offensive signals.

When you get into the end zone, act like you’ve been there before. A little fist pump, toss the ball to the nearest official and jog back to the bench with a little wave to the crowd.

It’s National Felons League.
Fix that problem, and the other problems will go away.

No Fun League?I think the rationale for this ban is that excessive celebrations hurt the feelings of the other team - and might goad them to retaliate in violent fashion. If so, it's stupid - these players work their asses off to get the ball across the goal line - let them celebrate and show us their human side. Let them show us that they truly love to succeed at this sport. Goodell needs to recuse his silver-spoon, white a$$ from making this decision and appoint some real football players to set the ground rules for celebrations.
To: JimRed
why is that so difficult to understand? I hope they throw a flag on a player in the middle of a celebration on his way to the endzone and his team get a 15yd penalty from the original LOS..

Right you are! The excessive celebration comes out of the urban garbage culture, which is where the NFL thugs, freaks, and felons are mostly coming from.

Lol! Reminds me of the episode of Family Guy where Peter joins the New England Patriot and upon scoring his first touchdown breaks into a fully choreographed musical number complete with orchestra and dancers.
